Mark’s construction experience began at a young age working for a family-owned business part-time through high school. Following high school he attended Ohio State University’s Agriculture Management, Associate Degree Program in 1987-1988. After completing the program and working in its related field for five years, in 1993, he returned to the Ashland area and started working full-time in the family contracting business.
In March of 1994, he joined Simonson Construction Services, Inc. as a finish carpenter. In the winter months of 1997 and 1998, Mark continued his education through evening classes at North Central Technical College in Mansfield, Ohio, studying business management and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). In January 1999, he accepted the promotion to job superintendent and was given the task of constructing our largest and most challenging residential project to date. In October 2001, Mark accepted the promotion to Project Manager.
With all of Mark’s experience in the field, his education, and superior management skills, he’ll only continue to improve in his current role as Project Manager.
