One of the newest members of the Simonson Construction team is Dan Hose. Dan’s responsibilities as
the SCS shop manager include shop personnel oversight, heavy equipment and truck repairs, and
machinery inspections. With an extensive background in excavation, Dan is excited to experience the
dirt-moving side of the business and immerse himself in mastering the SCS on-road truck fleet.
Having a father as a bricklayer allowed Dan to understand the construction industry and trades at a
young age. Dan came to Simonson Construction with a degree in Power and Equipment from The Ohio
State University Agricultural Technical Institute and several years of CAT dealership experience.
When asked why he decided to join Simonson Construction Services, Dan shared that he heard positive
remarks about the company. He appreciates seeing his co-workers on the same front and finds the
“door always open” environment welcoming. Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife
and two daughters and being involved with St. Edward Church in Ashland.
