The Ashland County Dog Shelter is the result of a collaborative vision and partnership between Ashland County, the Ashland County Community Foundation, Homeward Bound, the Norma Foundation, and the generosity of many local businesses and individuals.

The Ashland County Health Department is in a newly renovated space, complete with offices, conference rooms, waiting rooms, employee kitchen, and open space for future expansion.
