Ashland County Community Foundation Cutty Wing

The Ashland County Community Foundation is a philanthropic organization that acts as a charitable savings account for Ashland County. It pools donations to invest and grant funds for community betterment, supporting education, health, history, and culture, and helping donors create lasting legacies through various funds and scholarships. The Foundation connects donors with local needs, manages endowment funds for nonprofits, and provides scholarships to area students.

The new James M. Cutright “Cutty Wing” was designed to support the Foundation’s growing team and create a dedicated space for meetings and community gatherings. The 1,277 SF addition includes two new offices, a kitchenette, and a spacious conference room.
Our construction crew was also entrusted with preserving the Foundation’s historic character by carefully removing the ornate wainscot from the existing lobby wall and reinstalling it on the new wall. Thoughtful details like this help maintain a seamless aesthetic throughout the facility.

Simonson Construction’s self-performed work included architectural design, site development and underground utilities, foundations, wood framing, fiber cement shake sidings and decorative exterior trims, custom interior wood trims and casings, doors, and hardware.

It was an honor to serve as the design-build contractor for the Ashland County Community Foundation Cutty Wing!
