The Ashland County Airport Authority has a new 4,000 SF terminal building. The facility features an operation base for the county airspace, a classroom, and flight simulations for aviation training, a public pilots’ lounge, and meeting spaces. In addition to the new Ashland County airport terminal building, the development plan included 30 new parking spaces, aircraft hangar improvements, accessibility to training aircraft, an observation space for visitors, and space for future expansion.
Simonson Construction was pleased to serve as Design-Builder for this project and self-perform the following:

- sitework and underground utilities
- foundations
- wood framing, sheathing and weather barriers
- metal roofing
- Nichiha fiber cement panels
- acoustical ceilings
- doors, and hardware.
