Water and Wastewater Improvements at Mohican

Every water and wastewater improvement project by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources aims to provide safe drinking water and reliable sanitary sewer services through improved infrastructure. As part of this effort, Mohican State Park upgraded its water and sewer systems.

A new pump station was constructed at Mohican State Park Lodge, with a force main running under Pleasant Hill Lake, linking to the Muskingum Conservancy District’s sewer line, which connects to Perrysville, as well as the removal of the existing water wells and water treatment system. Simonson Construction’s horizontal directional drilling services were used to install the 2,600 ft of force main under Pleasant Hill Lake. Additional improvements included new lift stations, electrical upgrades, and the official shutdown of the old treatment facilities.

Simonson Construction was honored to partner with ODNR to complete this water and wastewater improvement project.
