Jason’s career in construction started at an early age working on weekends for his father in a family owned steel erecting and rigging company. After high school he began working for the family business part time while attending college at The Ohio State University/Agricultural Technical Institute where he received an Associates’ Degree in Construction Technology. Following college he worked his way up through the ranks of the construction field starting at the bottom and eventually working his way up to Crew Foreman. After about 10 years working in the field, he moved into the office where he has held numerous jobs such as estimator, operations manager, account manager and ultimately to president/owner. In 2018, Jason decided to move into the Safety Director position at Simonson Construction Services, Inc. He uses his many years of construction experience to keep our employees safe and compliant using a practical hands on approach.
Jason has served on the boards of the Associated Builders and Contractors at both the North Florida Chapter, as well as, Northern Ohio where he spent two years as chairman. He has also served nationally for ABC on their nominations committee and on the Metal Building Council in which he served as chair. In 2014, he turned his focus more local and was elected to the Hillsdale Local Schools Board of Education and in 2015 was appointed to the Ashland County–West Holmes Career Center Board of Education.
When Jason is not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. He and his family attend the Jeromesville United Methodist church. A big part of his personal time is spent giving back to the community he lives in which he does through his church, scouting and the local schools.
