Bob began his construction career as a carpenter in 1970. While employed by a variety of general contractors, he worked on projects ranging from residential to heavy commercial. He attended the Carpenter’s Apprenticeship program in Richland County and received his journeymen’s card in 1974. During that same year, in a depressed commercial market, he formed Simonson Builders, Inc. as a quality-focused residential contractor. In 1982, as a response to the demands of his clients and the construction market in general, Bob expanded into commercial construction including pre-engineered metal building structures, industrial and municipal excavation projects and full-service site development.
Today, Bob’s desire is for his company to maintain and continue improvement in the marketplace. He consults with his partners on specific company business as needed. The day-to-day operation of the company has been turned over to trusted and capable company officers.
Bob’s years of extensive experience, both working for and managing, growing and diversifying companies, employing dedicated and loyal professionals, uniquely qualifies his companies to provide the broad range of construction services necessary for the successful, timely completion of any construction project.
